I once heard that pretty much everyone has the opportunity or probability to be lucky or unlucky—that the only thing separating the lucky from the unlucky is how lucky or unlucky they think they are.

In other words: you get to decide your luck.

Lucky for me (see what I did there), making decisions is my superpower.

I can decide to start a podcast with my business bestie and in two weeks we’re launched, and then as luck would have it, we would show up in New and Noteworthy within just a couple weeks.

I can decide to turn my one-on-one branding method and expertise into a digital product, and then as luck would have it, it would become a successful stream of revenue.

I can decide to consistently do the work—I write the emails, design the things, craft the curriculum, record the podcast episodes, sell the program—and as luck would have it, I get to make a living doing what I love.

I am being boss not because I am no more or less lucky than anyone else, but because I decide to show up and watch my luck unfold along the way.
